Favorite monument #1: the Parthenon, Athens, Greece
Why am I so crazy about this monument? I’m not totally sure. I’ve always been crazy about anything Greek or Roman. But this monument touches my heart. At sunset it takes on a peachy hue that makes it resonate of woman. It was built for the Goddess Athena, a temple built for a female deity. Imagine that…a woman God. How cool and how believable. In this time and world where women STILL get paid less than men (?????) in the same positions, the stories of the Greek Goddesses are an inspiration.
