“This is not a book I would normally read, but I am glad I did. It brought light to a couple of hard realities. How cruel we are to differences and how little we tolerate it…I could not put the book down.”

5.0 out of 5 stars    Enjoyed INK
“This book took me to see things deeper and made me see my own stain. Realized that we all have stain, just not seen on the surface, we have a choice to hide it, but not Ink. He has no choice to hide it. By struggling to accept the brutal reality the world creates around him, his life is always on the turbulent ripple. The last chapter about him finding the deep stillness underneath the ripple through love offers us the insight that we all have the access to the stillness regardless of stain.”
– Nobuko N.

4.0 out of 5 stars    Kudos to Zita Harrison on her novel Ink – Beneath the Stain
“Ink – Beneath the Stain is a mesmerizing tale of a handsome boy with a port wine stain on one side of his face and how he overcomes discrimination and being ostracized. An empowering story for anyone who has ever felt ‘different.'”
– Carol Lee Hall

4.0 out of 5 stars    Compelling ride through the land of discrimination.
“This novel gathers steam as it goes along, becoming a real page turner. Zita Harrison skillfully portrays the heights and depths of humanity around issues such as discrimination, power, identity, love and acceptance. A recommended read.”
– J. Taylor

5.0 out of 5 stars    I loved it from beginning to end and couldn’t put it down.
“Zita Harrison weaves a powerful tale about the pain of discrimination and the emotions that accompany the isolation. Ink’s journey feels true as do all of the characters in this story. I loved it from beginning to end and couldn’t put it down.”
